ATRRS EEO Training Online is a comprehensive course that provides participants with a broad understanding of equal employment opportunity laws and regulations. It includes key concepts and legal frameworks related to discrimination, fostering inclusive workplace culture, and reporting and handling EEO complaints.
This training is a five-day program that covers initial counselor and investigator training required by the EEOC. It covers theories of discrimination; relevant case law; investigating discrimination and harassment complaints; interviewing difficult witnesses; writing a counselor’s report, and more. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Statement of Completion.
This online training is based on the Army’s Equal Opportunity Policy. It covers the various types of discrimination, including race, religion, age, gender, and disability. It also addresses retaliation and the importance of treating everyone with respect. The training is also designed to help learners understand the difference between acceptable and unacceptable behaviors and the consequences of violating the EEOC’s policies. The EEOC also encourages all employees to learn the skills to prevent workplace discrimination.
ATRRS System for EEO Courses
The ATRRS system solicits training requirements, converts them into resourced training programs, and manages those resources. It also documents budgeted dollars required to support Army training. The ATRRS system includes several subsystems and modules. These include:
The Structured Manning Decision Review (SMDR) module supports the process of modifying training requirements into executable and affordable training programs during POM year 1-3. The ATRRS Unit Automated Reservation System module enables Brigade level commanders to make individual training request into ATRRS-managed classes.
The ATRRS Equal Opportunity Leader course trains Officers and NCOs to serve as Equal Opportunity Leaders at the Battalion and Company level, assisting Commanders in implementing and assessing their EO climate programs. This program is offered to all Department of the Army enlisted personnel in grade SGT through CPT. Individuals who believe they have been discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age 40 or older, AIDS/HIV status, genetic information nondiscrimination act, physical handicap or sexual harassment should file a complaint with the EEO office within 45 calendar days of the alleged
How to Register for an ATRRS EEO Class?
EEO training is designed to help employees understand their rights and obligations in the workplace. It covers topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination based on race, age, religion, and pregnancy. It also teaches employees how to file complaints and what protection they have from retaliation by their employer. The training can be taken online or offline. Employees are allowed duty time to take the training. The Army Learning Management System (ALMS) help desk can assist with technical problems that occur.
To register for an ATRRS EEO class, you must have a valid Common Access Card and complete the registration process in ALMS. You will then receive an email notification that confirms your registration. The training takes approximately four hours to complete. After completing the course, an electronic certificate will be provided.
Some courses, such as DAU VILT, must be registered through your component/affiliation website. If you have questions about the registration process for these courses, contact your component/affiliation support center.
